Children’s Home Manager

JCO Healthcare is proud to be supporting a children’s care provider in the recruitment of a Registered Manager for a residential service supporting children and young people with emotional, behavioural and complex needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced children’s home leader to join an organisation with ambitious growth plans, strong operational support, and a genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for young people.

The Opportunity

As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for leading the service, developing your team, maintaining compliance, and creating an environment where children and young people can thrive.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership to ensure high standards of care, safeguarding, and service delivery whilst driving continuous improvement and positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the service
• Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Quality Standards
• Promote a strong safeguarding culture throughout the home
• Recruit, develop and lead a high-performing staff team
• Manage quality assurance, audits and action plans
• Maintain positive relationships with placing authorities and external professionals
• Support young people to achieve the very best outcomes possible
• Drive occupancy, performance and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

• Experienced within children’s residential care
• Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager ready to step up
• Hold, or be working towards, a Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations and quality standards
• Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people
• Confident leader with excellent communication and decision-making skills
