Deputy Home Manager

Circa £40,000 (Non-Clinical) | £50,000-£55,000 (Clinical RGN/RMN)

Primarily Supernumerary Position

JCO Healthcare is delighted to be working with an expanding private care provider to recruit a Deputy Home Manager for one of their well-performing nursing homes in Maesteg, South Wales.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and successful service with a strong local reputation for delivering high-quality care. The home is well-supported, well-led, and offers an environment where both residents and staff can thrive.

Reporting directly to the Home Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the service, supporting quality, compliance, team development, occupancy, and resident experience. The role is predominantly supernumerary, allowing you the time and autonomy to focus on leading and supporting the team.

Nursing qualification is desirable but not essential. Applications are welcomed from experienced Deputy Managers, Clinical Leads, Unit Managers, and aspiring Home Managers who can demonstrate strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering outstanding care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the overall management of the home
• Driving high standards of care and regulatory compliance
• Coaching, mentoring and developing the team
• Supporting occupancy and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships
• Ensuring an exceptional experience for residents and their families
• Deputising for the Home Manager when required

We Are Looking For:

• Previous leadership experience within an elderly care setting
• Strong knowledge of CQC and quality standards
• Excellent people management and communication skills
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach
• Passion for delivering person-centred care
• Nurse qualification desirable but not essential
